The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Mary velayat, where he conducted a working meeting.
During the working meeting with the participation of the hyakim of the velayat and the deputy hyakim for education, culture, health and sports, issues related to the socioeconomic development of the region and the introduction of advanced technologies and a digital system into the agricultural sector were discussed.
Some of the main topics of the working meeting were improving the land reclamation condition, raising soil productivity, increasing the volume of cotton and wheat production and monitoring the construction of industrial and social facilities.
The Hero-Arkadag made a number of recommendations regarding the need to carry out work on agricultural lands in accordance with agricultural technology standards, to increase the volume of cotton, the main raw material for the country’s textile industry, and to perform coordinated activities in this direction between the velayat hyakimlik and the etrap ones.
In recent years, as a result of the ongoing work to educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and diligence and on the basis of the noble principles of wise ancestors, the number of young people engaged in production has been consistently increasing. At the same time, thanks to the combination of national farming traditions with best practices, the agricultural sector is developing harmoniously, which is of particular importance for ensuring food abundance in the country.
Focusing on the need to keep under constant control the work, carried out in the agriculture of the velayat, and at objects, being built for various purposes in the region, the Hero-Arkadag identified ensuring the high quality of the construction of buildings and structures and their commissioning according to the schedule as an important task. Thus, the work, being carried out in this direction, must meet the requirements of today.
Addressing the deputy hyakim of the velayat during the working meeting, the Hero-Arkadag gave valuable recommendations on the regular organisation of events that are of great importance in enriching the spiritual world of Turkmen people and are aimed at strengthening the unity and solidarity of our people.
This year, the country is celebrating the 300th birth anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy on a grand scale. Emphasising the importance of holding various competitions among representatives of the younger generation, devoted to the life and work of the outstanding thinker, the scientist-Arkadag highlighted the expediency of organising meetings with young people interested in the life of Turkmen writers and great personalities of our history.
Along with that, as the National Leader of the Turkmen people said, it was necessary to pay great attention to preparing information and broadcasts in the media and on television and radio channels to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Magtymguly. Stressing the importance of organising creative meetings, conferences, song and musical performances and exhibitions of decorative and applied arts, the Hero-Arkadag noted that work was intended to attract young people to active participation in events important to the country.
Members of the Halk Maslahaty, which is the highest representative body of people’s power, maintain close contacts with the citizens of the country and study their wishes in direct communication with them. This indicates the implementation of the basic principle of the policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov “The state is for the people!”
The leaders of the Mary velayat expressed gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag for his support and valuable recommendations, assuring that they would make every effort for the further socioeconomic development of the region and the improvement of the standard of living of the population, effectively taking advantage of the support provided by the state.
