Chairman of the People's Council (Khalk Maslakhaty) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Motor Sports Center of Turkmenistan on Saturday during his labor vacation.

After the warm-up, the National Leader of the Turkmen people tested the technical capabilities of one of the sports cars, since the sports car, like the driver himself, also needs a kind of warm-up before the heavy loads that accompany a real race.

The Turkmen leader, being an experienced sportsman and pilot of high-speed cars, carefully studied the technical condition of the sports car, analyzed the condition of the track and the impact of the weather on it at the moment. And only after that, having sat behind the wheel, he began to quickly pick up speed, approaching the maximum. At the same time, he made rapid turns, using the skill of drifting, in which the pilot does not use the brakes, reducing the speed on turns by changing the vector of movement.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people, having inquired from head of the Motorsport Center R. Begenjov about the current work of the Center, highly appreciated the enthusiasm of the youth involved in this sport.

R. Begenjov expressed gratitude to the head of the Khalk Maslakhaty for his attention to the development of motorsport and the activities of the Center. He also reported on the growth in the number of fans of this type of sports discipline, for whom competitions are regularly organized.

Chairman of the People's Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the construction of specialized facilities on the territory of the Center contributed to the formation of a kind of town.

The leader of the Turkmen people drew attention to the fact that here, next to the buildings belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, residential buildings for law enforcement officers, as well as a center for holding mass events, have been built. At the same time, urban development work continues.

In this regard, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the advisability of working out issues related to the relocation of the Motorsport Center complex of buildings, since sports and industrial facilities next to residential buildings disturb the peace of citizens. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the growing number of young people interested in motorsport.

The main objective of the Center is to train athletes, including for participation in international competitions, as well as to develop the corresponding infrastructure. At the same time, along with the actual sports aspect of the activities based on the Center, it is necessary to raise the level of culture of drivers as road users, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

The Chairman of the People's Council said that after determining the location of the new complex, he will submit this proposal to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country.
