Meeting of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation

At the end of the celebrations at the International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov.
Expressing gratitude for the time allotted and invitation to take part in large-scale celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, the guest conveyed heartfelt greetings and congratulations from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Hero-Arkadag. As it was emphasised, our countries had traditionally friendly relations based on the historically established cultural and spiritual commonality of the two peoples and on the principles of mutually beneficial partnership.
The Rais of Tatarstan placed special emphasis on the productive nature of the meeting held that day with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during which the prospects of intensifying the bilateral cooperation were discussed in detail. At the same time, the guest noted the scale of the celebrations in which he had been lucky enough to participate personally.
Taking this opportunity, Rais Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.
After greeting the guest, the Hero-Arkadag noted he was glad to receive the Head of Tatarstan in the hospitable Turkmen land. Speaking about the significance of the visit, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty stressed that was an indicator of friendship between our peoples and common spiritual values.
“It is noteworthy that the meeting is taking place in such a festive atmosphere, and it is especially pleasant that on such a day you share our joy and take part in the festive events devoted to the Turkmen horse,” the Hero-Arkadag said.
As it was noted, that holiday took an important place in the cultural life of Turkmenistan, since the horse was a historical value, and reflected the ancient traditions of our people. Turkmenistan is the homeland of the world-famous ancient Ahalteke breed of racehorses. They became national pride and treasure.
The Hero-Arkadag, together with the guest, took a walk through the very beautiful part of the mountainous area, through the garden, along the river, during which a number of issues of further deepening the relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan were discussed. The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the high level of trust and mutual understanding inherent in the bilateral relations, which was a solid basis for their constructive development at various levels. As it was emphasised, Turkmenistan and Tatarstan were connected by centuries-old historical ties and the similarity of culture, language, traditions and customs.
During the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people confirmed the desire of Turkmenistan to continue actively carrying out activities aimed at building up multifaceted cooperation with brotherly Tatarstan within the framework of our strategic partnership with the Russian Federation.
The comprehensive, large-scale and long-term environmental government programmes currently being implemented in our country are aimed at harmonious interaction with the environment and the creation of an environmentally friendly economy.
Thanks to the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag, which in the modern era are being successfully implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, new green areas with rapidly growing young forests and parks blooming literally all year round are being formed in the country. Today, man-made oases stretch across many thousands of hectares in different parts of the Motherland. The implementation of a grandiose landscaping programme is also a significant contribution to the global cause of combating the negative consequences of climate change.
The Hero-Arkadag once again expressed gratitude to Rais Rustam Minnikhanov for his warm congratulations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.
Then, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, an official reception was organised in honour of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation at the Gala cultural and entertainment centre, located in one of the beautiful corners of the Kopetdag Mountains.
At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov said a warm goodbye and exchanged wishes for good health and further success in their activity and for peace, prosperity and wellbeing to the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
