In accordance with the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, given at the recent sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system regarding the preparations for the Youth Conference and Exhibition to be held at the end of the year, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around the capital city and visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Speaking at the government meeting, the President emphasised many unforgettable events had taken place in the life of our youth that year. The Youth Conference and Exhibition, which will be held at the end of the year, will reflect the outcomes of the versatile activities of the younger generation making a significant contribution to the development of the country and working diligently in various economic sectors; many representatives of the younger generation have won prizes at international sports competitions, held in the country and abroad, and school and student Olympiads.
In this regard, the Hero-Arkadag conducted a meeting and gave invaluable advice and instructions on the effective organisation of the upcoming Youth Forum.
It was attended by the Chairwoman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Manager of the Office of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the Executive Director of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship, the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan and the hyakim of Ashgabat.
The large-scale achievements of our Motherland, its continually growing international authority and the happy life of our people – all this is the result of the wise and far-sighted youth policy, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and successfully implemented by Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
The choice of the motto of the year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar” is very symbolic, as our happy younger generation, under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, is doing much work to ensure the sustainable development of the country and to further strengthen its position on the international arena in the political, economic and cultural spheres. The state places great trust in young people, who are the driving force of our society. Our sacred concepts about the country and our great future, which is inextricably linked with the happy life of youth, are the essence of this year’s motto. The accomplishments of that wonderful year and the political and social events of international significance inspired young people to achieve high goals and to enhance our pride in the independent Motherland, whose fame had spread worldwide, the Hero-Arkadag noted.
Representatives of Turkmen youth have achieved success at competitions and olympiads at the international level, raising the authority of our country even higher. This is a vivid confirmation of the fact that our state attaches great importance to issues related to the harmonious development of young Turkmen citizens, their upbringing in the spirit of patriotism and their high-quality education and physical training.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasised the opening ceremony of the Youth Forum, which would reflect the outcomes of the year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar” and the achievements of the younger generation in various fields, should be full of unforgettable moments, and gave specific instructions to the high-ranking officials.
Then the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Amannepesov and B. Atdayev reported on the progress of the preparations for the Youth Conference and Exhibition to be held at the end of the year, in accordance with the instructions of the President.
As it was stressed, the key directions of the national strategy were ensuring legal and social protection of young citizens, popularising the ancient spiritual and cultural values of the Turkmen people and a healthy lifestyle, educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, humanism and civic responsibility and supporting their initiatives. The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the exhibition should feature the achievements and ongoing work to implement the Law “On Youth Policy”, the State Youth Policy Programme for 2021–2025 and the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation for 2023–2030.
The exhibition should harmoniously combine the national colour and modern style, in particular, great importance should be given to decoration and design, using digital technologies and capabilities, the Hero-Arkadag said.
Emphasising the need to demonstrate at the exhibition a growing number of young specialists, who use digital technologies and effectively manage the digital economy, in different sectors of the national economy, the Hero-Arkadag gave specific instructions in this regard.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that the World Kurash Championships, which had taken place in Ashgabat recently, was of great importance in involving young citizens of Turkmenistan in sports and gave specific instructions to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As the Hero-Arkadag said the most important thing for a person was his or her health. In accordance with the Saglyk State Programme, modern healthcare facilities, clinical and clinical research centres have been built in all the regions of the country. Arkadag emphasised that the role of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship in bringing up a healthy younger generation, which was the foundation of the modern Turkmen state and society, was great and gave specific instructions to the relevant officials.
Noting that the advanced world trends in architecture and the national traditions of the art of building and the latest developments of young specialists using high technologies and innovations should be widely used in the construction sector in line with the urban planning programme, the Hero-Arkadag gave specific instructions in this regard.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people stressed the exhibition should reflect the ongoing work to bring up well-educated, physically strong and spiritually rich young people who cherish our history, culture, traditions and family foundations.
In the work of the agricultural complex, which is one of the important areas, new developments, research and scientific discoveries of young scientists in this sphere are widely used. Speaking about this, the Hero-Arkadag emphasised a special place at the exhibition should be given to the scientific projects and achievements of young scientists.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people assigned a profound role to the private sector in the development of Turkmenistan’s economy, the introduction of advanced technologies, the production of import-substituting and export-oriented goods and the achievement of food abundance. Stressing that the outstanding achievements of entrepreneurs, in particular young businessmen, should also be reflected in the exhibition in a worthy manner, Arkadag gave specific instructions in this regard.
Noting that Arkadag City was a city of young people, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised that youth were the great future and pillar of the state. Emphasising that special attention had been paid to innovative proposals, creative abilities and talents of young people when creating modern social infrastructures of the country’s first “smart” city, specific instructions were given to the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan.
Noting that the facilities and buildings built and commissioned in the capital city represented a harmonious combination of advanced engineering and technical solutions, traditions of national architecture and modern construction practices, and young specialists had made a profound contribution to that work, the National Leader of the Turkmen people gave specific instructions in this regard.
The Hero-Arkadag gave his advice and recommendations for the upcoming press conference on the Youth Forum.
Emphasising the importance of that conference, which would be held in the framework of the Youth Forum, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted that event should reflect the accomplishments and achievements in various sectors of the national economy and the concern of the Turkmen state for young citizens.
Turkmenistan supports international efforts to ensure global peace and security and makes a worthy contribution to the expansion of international partnerships through the development of solutions to pressing problems and effective areas of economic cooperation, the implementation of large regional projects and the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties.
We are boosting international cooperation towards sustainable transport, energy, ecology, environment protection and other areas, coming up with draft Resolutions of the UN General Assembly and putting forward specific proposals. And their successes in sports raise the authority of our Motherland on the international arena even higher.
Thanks to the efforts and great initiatives of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, Turkmen youth, enjoying the enormous trust of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and following his example and being guided by the wise advice and instructions of the Hero-Arkadag, are taking an active part in implementing positive reforms. They strictly follow all the precepts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, studying, creating and making a worthy contribution to the development of the Motherland.
As the Hero-Arkadag noted, contemporary youth of the happy era were boys and girls who would raise the authority and wellbeing of the Turkmen state. Their enthusiasm, patriotism, desire for diligent labour, pride in the present, confidence in the bright future, respect, friendship, love and adherence to a healthy lifestyle are of increasing enduring significance in the new historical period.
This year was also marked by the development of international cooperation among young people; it was marked by significant historical events and high achievements. This summer, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the Strategy for International Cooperation of Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023–2030. And the fact that Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan became a member of the World Youth Organisation of the UN specialised body for education, science and culture – UNESCO, is another remarkable event of the year of youth, marked by international successes.
Noting that young people should develop and come up with innovative proposals in the modern happy times, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty gave valuable advice in this regard.
He emphasised that the Youth Conference should be held in a proper manner and the best young specialists from all the sectors should take the most active part in the event. In a word, the forum on the outcomes of the Year of Youth should be organised at the highest level, Hero-Arkadag said, focusing on the most important issues.
Young people who have demonstrated their worth in all areas through their work and skills, had made a worthy contribution to the development of the state and had won prizes in international sports and other competitions and military servants who continue to move along the path of their courageous ancestors should receive awards during the forum. Noting that decent young people from among the teams should also be selected, and the appropriate proposals should be prepared, the Hero-Arkadag gave advice and instructions in this regard.
At the end of the award ceremony, a concert, glorifying the great achievements and accomplishments of Turkmenistan in the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, is to be held.
