A Working Trip of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to Arkadag City

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Arkadag City to review the projects of facilities, which will be implemented at the second construction stage, and to inspect the building materials to be used to decorate a mosque in the new city.

Berdimuhamedov of the noble deeds begun by Hero-Arkadag, large-scale transformations, aimed at achieving great goals, are being carried out. The architecture of the city of Arkadag, which meets all international standards, will be inscribed in golden letters in the chronicle of our Motherland.
Early in the morning, the National Leader of the Turkmen people arrived at the construction site of the mosque at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. There, the Hero-Arkadag was greeted by the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D. Orazov and Arkadag City Hyakim Sh. Durdyliyev.
Noting that Arkadag City was being built in one of the most picturesque regions of our country and the local climate was favourable for people, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised the need to take into account the local natural conditions when building facilities at the second construction stage and to pay special attention to environmental wellbeing. Furthermore, modern technologies and international practices should be applied widely.
The Hero-Arkadag inspected the building materials to be used for the new mosque in Arkadag City and acquainted himself with the projects.
The total area of the future mosque is 12.9 hectares; advanced technologies and practices are successfully being used in construction work.
Noting that great importance was attached to large-scale transformations in various spheres of the life of the state, the Hero-Arkadag ordered special attention be paid to ensuring that each new building blends well and forms a architectural ensemble with existing facilities and buildings. All buildings must be comfortable and convenient, and their finishing must meet all modern requirements.
Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people reviewed the projects of other facilities to be built at the second construction stage, including the Saglyk Park. The Hero-Arkadag was acquainted with the tree species to be planted on the territory of the park, the types of lighting systems and the design layouts of fountains.
The projects of the administrative building of the Gorjav Etrap Hyakimlik, a museum, a health house, an automobile complex and a registration point, a railway terminal, a fire department and luxury residential buildings and the draft designs of the signs of the Arkadag football team were presented.
When familiarising himself with the projects, the Hero-Arkadag made some specific comments and changes. He noted that the crucial requirements were the high quality of construction work, compliance with construction schedule and a combination of the traditions of national architecture with the advanced practices, which is the critical success factor of the second construction stage of the city of Arkadag.
Noting the need to adopt advanced achievements at the second construction stage, the Hero-Arkadag emphasised the President of Turkmenistan had instructed to apply innovative technologies, and to perform construction work in accordance with the schedule and quality standards.

Berdimuhamedov noted they should reflect the development of national sports, in particular, the involvement of youth in sports of high achievements and should bring Turkmen football to a high level. These signs should become the pride of Turkmen athletes.
Then the Hero-Arkadag met with the representatives of the major German companies, who were on a visit to our country. Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D. Orazov and Arkadag City Hyakim Sh. Durdyliyev attended the meeting.

Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that Turkmen-German relations had reached a new level in recent years.
The Director General of Edison Technologies, the Vice President for Sales of Teamtechnik, and the Sales Manager of Reifenhäuser said it was a great honour for them to be in dynamically developing Turkmenistan and to meet with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, underscoring their interest in ongoing reforms in our country that created the most favourable working conditions for foreign partners.
As the Hero-Arkadag noted, all necessary measures were being taken so that foreign businessmen could operate effectively, and the necessary legal framework had been created for that purpose. Stressing that the industrialisation programme for the period until 2030 envisaged building industrial complexes throughout Turkmenistan, the Hero-Arkadag said German partners could contribute to the implementation of various projects.
A number of industrial complexes are to be built at the second construction stage in the new city, which will ensure the successful implementation of programmes aimed at industrialising the country, increasing employment opportunities, creating new jobs, launching the production of consumer goods and improving the service sector.
The Hero-Arkadag noted that year he had paid a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, during which agreements, aimed at promoting bilateral and multilateral relations and bringing effective cooperation with EU countries to a new level, had been reached.
In their turn, the guests informed they represented a consortium of about 20 world-famous German companies and were seeking to establish long-term cooperation with Turkmenistan, noting they would be honoured to take part in building a factory to produce medical equipment in Arkadag City. The top managers of the major companies also spoke about the possibilities of training specialists for new industrial complexes.
Noting that special attention was paid to the use of advanced world practices and modern technologies when building industrial complexes at the second construction stage in the city of Arkadag, the Hero-Arkadag said the modern “smart” city had emerged thanks to the consistent and successful implementation of the tasks designated in this sphere.
In conclusion, those present expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Turkmenistan–Germany cooperation in various areas.
Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty wished every success to those present and left the venue.
